Smile Cotton is material manufactured with the desire to create a textile as comfortable as
cashmere using cotton. Smile Cotton is the result of continuous improvements to technology over the

About the textiles
Yarn is produced by twisting fibers of the cotton balls. By reversing this twist and creating a layer of
air between the fibers, Smile Cotton creates a texture which is fluffy, light and soft, just like a
cotton ball.
As shown in the picture, even if the weight of 10g is the same, the volume of Smile Cotton containing air differs from that of conventional textiles. By weaving these fibers, a fluffy softness and water-absorbing and quick drying properties are achieved, creating textiles which absorb sweat and are easy to dry.
What’s more, since the yarn is returned to the condition of a cotton ball, stiffening caused by washing is prevented, enabling customers to enjoy the relaxing and soft texture for a long time.
Putting only little stress on the skin, these textiles can also be worn safely by children with sensitive skin. They are so soft and gentle on the skin that they are recommended by the Japan Atopic Dermatitis Patients Association.
